My name is Adam and I’m a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, accredited with the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP). I have worked within mental health since 2009 and as a qualified therapist since 2015.
I have had the opportunity throughout my career to work in numerous Talking Therapies and Specialist Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder services, allowing me to both broaden and focus my therapeutic skills and experience. As a result, I have been able to work with a wide range of people – from inner city to rural areas, across all ranges, and for brief and long-term therapeutic work. Working with all types of people is what motivated me to pursue a career in this field – to connect with people, understand them, and help them to understand themselves, both in terms of their normal human reactions and as unique idiosyncratic individuals.
I am currently working remotely using video with the CBT Practice, with problems such as anxiety and stress, low mood and depression, PTSD & Complex-PTSD, social anxiety, health anxiety, phobias, OCD, and more.
I strongly believe in a warm, empathic, compassionate, non-judgmental therapeutic environment for people to have psychological support, and believe this can be effective online, just as in person. My treatment sessions always use evidence-based therapeutic interventions, but tailored to the individual’s needs and way of working.
